Zirconium phosphate can resistant high temperature,flame retardant,and oxidation resistance, acid and alkali resistance, corrosion resistance,so it widely used into PP,PE,PVC,PI,ABS,Nylon,Plastics,adhesive,and so on.

Such as adding it in PP,after testing,add ZrP PP compared with pure PP ,the effect is more better than pure PP:

1、The graph shows the TGA analysis of PP and PP / ZrP composites,the thermal stability of PP / ZrP composites is higher than that of pure PP,

2、 the PP and PP / ZrP composite XRD analysis,the addition of zirconium phosphate in the inorganic material promoted the formation of PP heterogeneous nucleation, and with the increase of zirconium phosphate, the β crystal had an increasing trend.

3、HDT obtained from PP and PP/ZrP ，compared with pure PP, the thermal deformation temperature of the composites increased

4、The notched impact strength of PP and its composites. Compared with pure PP, the notched impact strength of increased by 8%-29%.

The Effect of a-zirconium Phosphate in Intumescent Flame Retarded Polypropylene Composites:
 
Intumescent flame retardant polypropylene(PP)／organophilic a-zirconium phosphate(OZrP)composites are prepared by melt-blending process．TGA reveales that it has an increased charred residue compared with PP／
IFR systerns or pure PP．When the PP matrix contains 25％IFR，the LOI is 33 and UL-94 is V-1 rating．W11an the PP matrix contains 22.5％IFR and 2.5％OZrP，the LOI is 37 and UL-94 is V-0 rating．Combined with the analysis of charred residue of composites。OZrP is found to be a good synergistic agent in the PP／IFR flame retardant systems．

ZrP also can be as antibacterial agent add into plastics, It’s ultra-fine powder with strong antibacterial effect, high security, stable chemical property, superior heat resistance and no drug resistance, therefore broad-spectrum restraining and killing many types of bacterium, such as  Klebsiella pneumonia, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans etc. The heat resistance and long-acting effect are incomparable by other antibacterial agent,and only add 1%,it can have a good effect.
